When I open my eyes it’s dark, but I know we arrived in Zagreb. Hello Zagreb! The bus waits for a traffic light, when I look to the right I see McDonald’s and the casino. My eyes search for the church, the church on the opposite side of the building I live. Found it. It’s not the prettiest neighborhood in Zagreb, but I’m excited to be back. Even though I only live and lived here for a few months, it feels like “my” neighborhood. And even though I don’t have my own house or apartment, it feels like coming home.
At the end of the month I’d like to look back on what I did, where I’ve been and how I felt. I usually use my Instagram feed to do so, but this month I hardly posted any photos. Why? Well first of all, I didn’t feel like it. Didn’t feel like sharing. Secondly, I’ve been busy with the Croatian language course (so much fun!) and creating tours on Outdooractive. Yes I’ve been active on Outdooractive, but I was pretty lazy when it comes to hiking or any other adventure. My way through Germany: 820 Kilometers, 3 rest days, 32 hiking days, 1 homestay, 7 gardencamps, 4 nights on a campsite and 1 on a climbers bivouac. The latter means: pay 3 euro for the tent and figure out yourself where to wash or how to do the dishes, oh and the toilet is that wooden hut in the forest. Blehh, spiders!
